I started my professional career with a commercial diploma (1983) and several years in the art trade and as head of administration at the Kunsthaus Zug and went on to study law at the University of Zurich (lic. iur., 1998). I then worked as a scientific assistant at the Europa Institut Zurich and legal adviser with the Federal Office of Culture in Berne and completed my legal traineeship at a commercial law firm. In 2002 I was admitted to the bar and was subsequently an associate at a law firm with a focus on intellectual property law.

Since 2005, I have run my law office in Zurich. Also, for more than ten years, I worked as In-house Counsel at the blue Entertainment-group of companies (previously CT Cinetrade-group with Teleclub Ltd and KITAG Kino-Theater Ltd) and, from 2015 to 2020, headed the group’s legal department as a member of the Management Board.

Since 2020, I have been a member of the Swiss Federal Arbitration Commission for the Exploitation of Copyrights and Neighbouring Rights (EschK). In the cultural field, I am serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fries Brändli Foundation and am involved in the sponsorship of the Winterthur based artist Mario Sala’s art project Lackmus Starter-Lodge. Previously, I had served in the Committee of the Art Association Winterthur (Kunst Museum Winterthur) for more than ten years and, from 2007 until 2012, as a lecturer for copyright and art law at the postgraduate program ‘Rare Book Librarianship’ at the University of Basel.

I am a member of the Swiss and the Zurich Bar Associations (ZAV / SAV) as well as various professional organisations.
